Ditch Single-Use Aerosol Cans—Switch to the Air & Fluid Refillable Spray Can from FIRSTINFO Tools!

As environmental awareness rises, more and more people are paying attention to it nowadays. Common aerosol cans on the market are often single-use products that are discarded after emptying—such as WD-40, brake disc cleaners, rust inhibitors, and lubricants—which significantly burden the environment. The refillable spray can from Liangjiang Tools is a product born in response to this trend. This long-time best-selling product from Liangjiang Tools often prompts some common customer questions. Let us address those here to clear up your doubts.

How can I tell what liquids can and can’t be used?

Liquids can generally be classified into three types:

  1. Usable liquids include non-corrosive, low-viscosity fluids like rust-preventive lubricants.
  2. Non-usable liquids include highly corrosive substances (like strong acids and bases) that can damage the inner coating and seals of the can, creating a safety hazard; high-viscosity fluids (such as gear oil) and paints, which can cause blockages in the nozzle; and highly volatile liquids (like gasoline or acetone), which can increase the pressure inside the can and pose safety risks.
  3. Moderately corrosive liquids, such as brake cleaners, rust removers, or WD-40, may damage the aluminum can and seals over time if stored in the can. While these can be used, we recommend not leaving the liquid in the spray can after use to avoid damage. If you're regularly using this type of liquid, we suggest purchasing a version with a stainless steel body.

Can this be used for dusting?

We don’t recommend it. This product is designed to work with liquids. If used solely for dusting, the airflow is not strong enough, and the need to recharge the air quickly may lead to a poor user experience. Therefore, it’s not recommended.

How do I refill the can with air?

The nozzle we use is the same as the common American-style valve found on motorcycle and bicycle tires, so you can easily use a regular air pump or an air compressor with a tire pressure gun to refill it.

Why do the O-rings or nozzles wear out when using brake cleaners or regular rust-preventive oils?

The FIRSTINFO refillable spray can uses Viton material O-rings, which are highly durable. However, both the O-ring and the nozzle contain plastic components, and long-term contact with chemical liquids leads to natural wear and tear. We offer replacements for these parts, which can be purchased directly from us!
